Happy New Year!!!
Hope everyone has a great 2011 and Roll on album 4!
Since their split in 2004, McFadden has called Katona a “pig-headed mole”, while Katona has referred to McFadden as “the fat one from Westlife”.
However according to the Daily Star, the pair, who have two daughters together, have finally reconciled their differences.
A source said: “For the first time in years, they are friends. They have had a tough few years but have both grown up since their split and they have realised there is no point in being bitter.”
McFadden is believed to have told Katona that he will be around to look after the children while she is taking part in ‘Dancing On Ice’, and that he will fully support her attempts to relaunch her career.
They added: “There is a lot of emotion between them still, even after all these years.
“It has shocked them both how quickly they have turned things around but they couldn’t be happier about it.”
McFadden is currently engaged to Australian popstar Delta Goodrem.

IRISH singer Brian McFadden caused panic (and relief) when he announced his decision to leave Twitter earlier today.
In a statement that rocked the Australian Twitter community – yes, we say this with a heavy dose of sarcasm – Irish pop star, Brian McFadden announced his decision to retire from Twitter.
“I have decided to retire from twitter. Its been great. Enjoy your tweet world and goodbye! X” He said.
However, minutes later, the cheeky Australia’s Got Talent judge renounced his plans with another tweet stating:
“I’m f@xking with you! How else can I get in trouble! Tweet later. On a plane!” Oh joy.
Realising the furore he caused with fans, McFadden decided to drive home his retraction, saying:
“I will tweet forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Expect to hear more from McFadden on a Twitter feed near you…

Brian has confirmed via his Official Twitter page that he is NOT returning to Westlife “For the record I’m not reuniting with westlife! Not at all! Just having an angry rant for the boys”
SINGER Brian McFadden is begging Westlife to let him rejoin them – so they can challenge Take That in the charts.
Brian, 30, who quit the Irish boyband in 2004, tweeted: “I had a dream I was back on stage with Westlife playing some crazy-sized football stadium. “I would love to do an album and show JLS and Take That what we are made of.” The star, who now works in TV in Australia, said Westlife were his “brothers”.
But the four members are NOT up for a reunion
In an exclusive chat, SHANE FILAN told me: “I don’t think it’s even remotely interesting if Brian came back.
“Brian left because he didn’t like being in the band. It wasn’t because we fell out. For us as a band, we never split up. We’ve kept going and are very happy.”
He added: “If another person came in it would be like re-starting a new band. I don’t know how it would work. ROBBIE WILLIAMS coming back to Take That was a big announcement. He’s the biggest male solo performer of the past 20 years.” “You can’t compare it.”
KIAN EGAN added: “He doesn’t live in this country and is not in the music industry any more.”

Hmm, could this be the “come and get me” plea Westlife have been waiting for from a certain Brian McFadden, who quit the band six years ago? Or has McF only just got around to watching X Factor’s results show from last week?
The ex ‘Lifer, 30, tweeted: “I would love to do an album with the boys and show JLS and Take That what we are really made of! “If the boys wanna challenge these newcomers I am up for a fight.” When he’s back from Oz, that is. Fighting talk. Grr!

An BMO Exclusive – An unseen Photoshoot from 2004 before the debut Solo Album.
Westlife have revealed they won’t ask estranged bandmate Brian McFadden to return to the group.
The band, who performed their new single ‘Safe’ on last night’s X Factor results show, said that seeing Robbie Williams return to Take That has not encouraged them to contact McFadden, who left the group in 2004.
Shane Filan told The Daily Record: “Seeing Take That with Robbie again has not encouraged us to get Brian back. If he did come back, we’d be thinking, ‘Is he happy with what we are doing now?’”
Mark Feehily added: “We are Take That fans so are excited about it happening and it also ups the ante for us. When there is no competition, you can get a bit lazy so it’s good to have another band back.”
Filan continued: “It is great ammo for our label to give us the best material rather than give us something that might be second best.”
‘Safe’ is currently at number 11 on the iTunes chart. Their tenth studio album Gravity follows on November 22.
