We understand the LA-based Goodrem caught up with her ex-fiance when she made a quick visit to Sydney earlier this month after attending a songwriting camp with new beau Nick Jonas in Bali.

“They caught up just to spend some time together,” said a source. “They are still good friends and care about each other.”

Goodrem then returned to the US and this week the Sydney singer will fly to New York to perform on NBC’s Today Show with crooner Michael Bolton.

They will both perform the track Goodrem wrote for his new album, I’m Not Ready.

We also hear McFadden’s blossoming relationship with new girlfriend, Irish model Vogue Williams, is going strong.

The couple have been seen out and about enjoying the spoils of Sydney over recent weeks.

And now comes news they are planning on moving in together part time.

Williams is believed to be re-arranging her modelling and reality TV schedule so she can spend six months of the year living in Australia with McFadden.

BRIAN McFadden couldn’t keep the smile off his face walking through Sydney airport with his new girlfriend Vogue Williams today.

Williams, an Irish DJ with her own reality show, also seemed happy enough to smile for photographers as they made their way through the domestic terminal with their designer Louis Vuitton luggage.

It didn’t take long for Irish crooner and Australia’s Got Talent judge McFadden 31, to move on fromhis split with his longterm love of seven years and former fiancee, Delta Goodrem, last month.

The couple announced in a statement their breakup was a mutual decision.

Goodrem, 26, had her own reasons to smile last week when she was spotted on a date holding hands with wholesome boy band member Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, eight years her junior, in Hollywood.

TWITTER ranter Brian McFadden is at it again, launching a fuming Valentine’s Day tirade.

After sending a missive to girlfriend Delta Goodrem – describing her as “the most beautiful thing to ever arrive on this planet”- the Irishman McFadden let fly.

“And to all those dicks who think they are entitled to question my integrity! In the nicest way . . . GET F—–,” he wrote. “I get uneducated tweets from people. But f— you are dumb and irritating.

“Final thoughts! You embarrass me and I hate being mentioned in your media.”

But McFadden woke up feeling slightly more generous.

“Wanna just let the amazing people who support me (know) that last night’s rant was aimed at a handful of —-heads.”

It’s not the first time he’s used Twitter to vent his spleen, last year taking both his “pig faced mole” ex-wife and a “poxy” airline to task.

IRISH singer Brian McFadden will put his driving skills to the test when he competes in the 2011 Formula 1 Qantas Australian Grand Prix celebrity race.

McFadden, who is engaged to Delta Goodrem, will get behind the wheel of a new Lexus CT 200h hybrid hatchback and compete against 23 other celebrities at Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit in March.

Lexus is bringing back the Celebrity Challenge race to the 2011 Formula 1 Qantas Australian Grand Prix after the event’s two-year hiatus because of the global financial crisis and the contracting car market.

“It costs a lot of money to prepare this sort of a race, it’s preparing nearly 30 race cars and each car’s worth $50,000 plus race equipment, but the market bounced back last year so we can now do it again,” Lexus Australia’s Corporate Manager in charge of marketing and aftersales, Peter Evans told AAP.

Lexus is still negotiating with several international celebrities to take part in the event, including Hollywood stars.

“In Europe, Kylie Minogue is the face of the new Lexus CT 200, but unfortunately she is touring overseas at the time, but we did speak to her, we also have lots of contacts in California,” Evans added.

So far journalist and Aussie racing royalty Kate Waterhouse, retired swimmer Giaan Rooney and TV presenter Kelly Landry have signed for the race.
