Brian McFadden ready for the world
IF DELTA Goodrem is Australia’s sweetheart, then when it comes to her Irish fiance Brian McFadden, we as a nation should be the jealous ex-boyfriend.
So perhaps another title for her is in order, because if the charts are anything to go by - his single Just Say So debuted at No. 1 - we actually really like the guy.
He says people have responded well to his latest album, Wall of Soundz, but many are wondering where this new style has come from.
“People are loving the music, but I don’t think they’re making the connection and they’re thinking, ‘This doesn’t really sound like Brian McFadden’,” he said.
“My last album suited certain places. This is the first time I feel like I can take a record everywhere because it suits radio everywhere in the world at the moment.”
Late June sees McFadden embark on a first-stop-America world tour to release and promote his electro-pop offering.
As one-third of the judging panel on Australia’s Got Talent, alongside Dannii Minogue and Kyle Sandilands, McFadden says he has had some of the greatest experiences working on the show, being lucky enough to see some truly memorable performances. On the flipside, he admits that faced with the “crazies” up close, it is very different to having a laugh at them from the comfort of your livingroom.
“I don’t mind the people whose parents told them they’re good and they’re not good, but it’s the people who are just mental,” he said. “You think their parents should be saying, ‘You shouldn’t really be going outside - don’t worry about going on a TV show, you shouldn’t even be seen in public’.”
Much like Sandilands, but with a decidedly more wholesome reputation, McFadden speaks his mind unashamedly - a well-known Irish trait that is no doubt one of the reasons Australia has adopted him as one of its very own.
“Ireland will always be home, but Australia is my home now - and Australia’s been really, really good to me,” he said.
Kerry Katona blasts Brian McFadden over child maintenance payments
Kerry Katona has started another war of words with ex-husband Brian McFadden claiming the singer still isn’t paying any child maintenance.
Kerry, 29, hit out at Brian, who lives in Australia with Delta Goodrem, in an interview in new! magazine.
Just weeks ago Brian, who is dad to two of Kerry’s children, Molly, eight, and Lilly Sue, seven, branded Kerry a “pig-faced mole” after she claimed in an interview that their youngest daughter barely knew her dad and he only called the girls five times a year. Her latest attack is set to leave Brian fuming.
She told new! magazine: “As far as Brian getting custody, he doesn’t even live in the country.
“If he wants custody, then start going to parents’ evening and sports day.
“He paid maintenance for a while and then it stopped. I want him to pay for the school fees, as the kids are loving their new school.
We can’t wait to hear what Brian has to say in response to these latest claims.

Brian McFadden has confirmed that he is hoping to crack America as a solo artist.
The former Westlife singer will relocate to the States after he completes work on the current series of Australia's Got Talent, on which he appears as a judge.
It is understood that McFadden will release new album Wall Of Soundz in the US through Universal Records. The disc's lead track 'Just Say So' recently had a three-week reign over the Australian singles chart.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 30-year-old explained: "It will be my first time ever to release a record in America as a solo artist. It's very hard over there but this is my last chance.
"I'm going to relocate there to get this business going."
McFadden's fiancée Delta Goodrem is also currently based in the US as she is working on her fourth album there.
BRIAN MCFADDEN TELLS KERRY KATONA: DON'T USE OUR KIDS FOR PUBLICITY
KERRY Katona’s ex-husband Brian McFadden has said he does not want his children to be used for publicity.
Brian’s latest comments came in a long-running war of words over Molly, eight, and Lilly-Sue, seven.
His attack came just days before the feuding pair were due to meet for the first time in years.
Brian is flying in this weekendfor Molly’s first communion. Speaking in Australia, where he lives, Brian said: “I don’t like the publicity with the kids.
“They should be being kids, going to school, playing with friends, not on TV or in newspapers. They’re too young to make that decision.”
The former Westlife star, 30, also said he is happy that Kerry, 29, has employed “a great nanny”. Kerry’s spokesman hit back: “Molly’s communion will be the first time he’s seen his daughter in a long time.”

Brian McFadden blasts 'pig face mole' ex-wife Kerry Katona in foul-mouthed Twitter rant
Brian McFadden has let rip at his ex-wife Kerry Katona in a foul-mouthed Twitter rant, responding to accusations he isn't a decent father to their two children. In a series of misspelled postings which he later deleted, the former Westlife singer suggested Katona 'take bowl of mayonaise drenched chips out of your face and look in the mirror!' McFadden, 30, who lives in Australia, hit back after she claimed in a weekend interview that he barely speaks to their daughters - with their youngest, Lilly-Sue, not even knowing who he is. McFadden, now engaged to Aussie singer Delta Goodrem, wrote: 'I've kept my silence too long and i cant keep it anymore.... its killing me and my beautiful fiance and mum and dad and my friends. ENOUGH!' 'a certainj pig faced mole has suggested my own daughter lilly doesn't know me and that i never speak to my kids.. 'FACT I call my girls at least twice a week and have a beautiful relationship with my daughters...' But Katona, 29, insists their daughters only speak to their father about five times a year. She told the News Of The World: 'He phones the girls about five times a year but Lilly doesn't really know who he is. I've never told them what really happened.' McFadden also responded to Katona's jibe that he was 'the fat one from Westlife.' 'and call me fat! take bowl of mayonaise drenched chips out of your face and look in the mirror!' he wrote, under his Twitter name Brian McNugget. Molly, eight, and Lilly-Sue, seven, live with Katona in Wilmslow, spending holidays with their father, or his family in Ireland. They are often seen with their mother, who has two younger children with estranged husband Mark Croft, and feature in her new reality TV show. Before the split: McFadden and Katona in 2004 This angered McFadden, who commented: 'wish certain f***s would stop selling there [sic] stories to rags and find a real job. not one that means you shove kids face in front of a camera.' McFadden, who is pursuing a music career in Australia, later apologised to his 37,000 followers. 'Sorry for bringing my personal anger to twitter.... lets have some fun,' he said. He also responded to comments from U.S. gossip columnist Perez Hilton who told him 'Go protect your babies! Go get 'em!', by saying attempts to win custody had failed. Katona said McFadden was the one missing out. 'Brian has a new life in Australia now. I'm not bitter, I'm just sad for him. 'He's missing out on two amazing little girls.' Katona admitted she was angry about McFadden's previous comments about her, adding: 'Whenever I'm in trouble he lays into me.' McFadden branded her behaviour 'disgusting' and an 'embarrassment' after reports that she enjoyed three-day cocaine binges with Croft. McFadden and Katona wed in 2002 but the marriage was almost over before it began, when Katona learned McFadden had cheated with a lapdancer days before they tied the knot. She said: 'That killed it for

Brian McFadden celebrates his 30th birthday in style with his fiancee Delta Goodrem at a B-themed party in Sydney
Brian McFadden has seemingly been around forever, but the former Westlife star has only just turned 30. The singer celebrated his milestone by throwing a huge B-themed fancy dress party in Sydney, Australia where he now resides with fiancee Delta Goodrem. McFadden dressed up as 1950s rock 'n roll singer Buddy Holly, while Miss Goodrem, 25, threw on a 'Band Leader Barbie' outfit. The former Neighbours actress wore a raunchy ensemble consisting of a black and pink dress and matching hat, a blonde wig, pink knee-length socks and a pair of clear-heeled shoes. Describing his partner's outfit Brian, who was previously married to Kerry Katona, said: 'It was a burlesquey kind of band leader outfit.' 'One of my friends was dressed as David Bowie. I was I was impressed by that. There was a Beauty and the Beast and a lot of bogans: that’s chavs or rednecks.' The couple appeared happy and content together, putting paid to rumours they may be about to split. It was recently alleged that they had started living apart with Brian apparently leaving their £1.2million Sydney home to live with a video director named Dan Reisinger. However, there were no signs of any discontent between the two at the party where other costumes worn by guests included Bob The Builder, David Bowie, Boy George and Batman Walls at the venue where McFadden's party was held were decorated with photographs from different periods during the singer's life. And he was presented with a huge chocolate cake featuring a picture of himself taken during his time with Westlife. Meanwhile the Australia's Got Talent judge has said that fellow member of the judging panel Dannii Minogue is not how people may expect her to be. He admitted that she has grown on him since he joined the panel on the talent show. The Sun quotes the former Westlife singer as saying: 'Dannii’s not soft at all. People would expect her to be mum-like but she’s pretty hard.” 'When we met she looked into my eyes and said, "I’m trying to see what Delta sees in you". 'She has this sneaky wit. I love that about her. She’s really grown on me. She’s great.' He is currently riding high in the Australian iTunes chart with his new single Just Say So hitting the number one spot. But he now faces a week-long wait to see whether it can top the official ARIA chart. He told his Twitter followers: "Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes and also thanks to everyone who bought the single... still #1..... unbelievable." However, he added: 'I'm not getting too excited about the number one. It's still early days in the week. Fingers toes and nuts crossed it stays there to Friday.'
Just Say So is the first single to be released from McFadden's new electropop album Wall Of Soundz, which is due out on April 23.
Dannii Minogue's ugly jibe at Westlife's Brian McFadden
The ex-Westlife singer said Dannii, who is five months pregnant, is ‘pretty hard’ but she had ‘grown on him’.
Kylie’s 38-year-old sister ‘uses a sneaky wit’ to put people down, he said.
‘Dannii’s not soft at all; people would expect her to be mum-like but she’s pretty hard,’ said the 29-year-old singer.
‘She looked in my eyes and said, “I’m trying to see what Delta [Goodrem, his fiancée] sees in you.” I said, “No, you’re not, you’re thinking she’s hot and I’m not, what’s the catch?” But Dannii’s getting proper big. She’ll be wearing tablecloths soon.’
THERE’S nothing like a good old-fashioned celebrity bitch fight to get the blood pumping.
And when a man decides to get his claws out, it is even more entertaining. Step forward ex-Westlife crooner Brian McFadden.
The Oz-based Irishman has taken a bitchy swipe at former pop star Victoria Beckham, 35, slating her singing abilities in a foul-mouthed attack from Down Under. Brian, who is now a judge on Australia’s Got Talent alongside Dannii Minogue, 38, is obviously practising his sharp-tongued comments à la Simon Cowell, 50.
He insinuated the ex-Spice Girl has the worst voice in the world.
Bri, 29, has just released a new album which features a number of tracks using the similar auto-tune tricks that Posh used in her solo songs to distort her voice. But the ex-boybander bitched: “Victoria Beckham was a bit of a fan of auto-tune for different reasons from mine.
“It wasn’t really an effect with her. It was more like: ‘What are we going to do with this turd that’s coming out of your mouth? We’re going to have to auto-tune it, there’s no other options.’”
Ooh get you Mr McFadden, although we’re not sure how kindly Mr Beckham will take to you slagging off his wife.

Brian McFadden has admitted that he is not looking forward to turning 30 next month.
The former Westlife singer will reach the milestone on April 12 and his fiancée Delta Goodrem has been busy planning a party for the occasion.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, McFadden explained: "Turning 30 is a bit daunting for me - it makes me feel old. But Delta has insisted that we celebrate it.
"If I had my way, I'd just have me and her sitting at home watching TV, pretending it never happened. But from the sounds of what Delta has planned, it's going to be a big night."
McFadden is currently working as a judge on Australia's Got Talent as well as promoting his forthcoming electropop album Wall Of Soundz.

Mcfadden: 'I've Lost Two Custody Battles For My Kids'
Former WESTLIFE singer BRIAN MCFADDEN has lost a second custody battle for his children with ex-wife KERRY KATONA.
The Irish singer, who now lives in Australia with fiancee Delta Goodrem, launched a legal bid for custody of his daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue in September (09) after British reality star Katona was caught on camera snorting cocaine.
He filed papers demanding that his children be put in his care temporarily, fearing they were in danger while in the care of their mother.
But MCFadden has revealed he has launched two bids for custody - and lost both.
He tells Australia's The Daily Telegraph, "It is over again. It actually was finished a couple of months ago. I just have not said anything about it. I have had two battles now and unfortunately I have lost both of them. It is twice I have gone to court and spent a lot of money and lost."
MCFadden and Katona wed in 2002 and divorced in 2006.
Brian McFadden has signed up to front a new TV show about putting together a boyband.
The former Westlife star, who quit the band in 2004, will make a series documenting the creation of a boyband alongside Australian DJ Kyle Sandilands.
Sandilands told the Herald Sun newspaper: "It follows what happens in a group and how you take a boyband and market them.
"It will go through how a song is written, what life is like on the road because he [McFadden] has experienced that and hearing his stories ... and his journey and all the shenanigans, we thought it would be appealing.
"It's more a documentary, not a reality show so much and how they go from five guys to a Westlife or 'N Sync."
Auditions for the new group will take place on February 13 and 14 in Melbourne.
The show has been pitched to MTV, VH1 and Bravo in the US.
In three weeks, Brian McFadden will unleash his first single in almost two years.
The track will feature on McFadden's third solo studio album titled 'Wall Of Soundz', an album he has been working on with Robert Conley (Darren Hayes/Specificus/Axle Whitehead) and carries an electro-pop tone to the album deterring from his infamous ballads.
McFadden is also due to announce national tour dates next week (w/c February 8 2010) in support of the single.
'Wall Of Soundz' will be the follow up to his 2008 release 'Set In Stone' which debuted at #5 on the ARIA Albums chart.
Bryan McFadden and Delta Goodrem to fit wedding around sports calendar
Former Westlife singer Bryan McFadden has told his fiancée their marriage plans will have to fit around the World Cup and Formula 1 motor racing.
McFadden proposed to Australian singer Delta Goodrem in 2007, less than a year after he divorced Kerry Katona, with whom he has two daughters. Since then, the former Neighbours actress has twice postponed the wedding because of work.
McFadden, 29, said: "We're trying to work out a date between the World Cup and the end of the Formula 1 season."
Luckily, Delta, also 29, is not putting up too much of a fight. She said: "I would love to go to the World Cup."
Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has reacted angrily to claims that he and fiancee Delta Goodrem's relationship is on the rocks.

The Dubliner jetted back to his adopted home of Australia last week to be with his singer girlfriend for the New Year celebrations, having spent Christmas at home in Dublin with his two daughters, Molly (9) and Lilly Sue (7).
It'd been claimed that the couple, who have been together for five years, were on the verge of splitting after Delta missed Christmas celebrations in Brian's family home in Artane.
Delta was forced to cancel her trip to Ireland when she had to reschedule a performance at the Sydney Opera House for Christmas Eve. A family insider insisted that there is no truth to reports that Brian jetted home for crisis talks with the former Neighbours actress.
“Him and Delta are fine,” said the family source. “They're still rock solid, I don't know where these rumours come from.”
Meanwhile Brian was determined to assure fans that all was well, posting the following comment on his Twitter page.
“What would we do without the English press? Just when I thought Delta and I were happy they let me know we're not. Thanks I almost missed it,” he wrote.
The couple had been due to marry this Christmas in Bali
