Brian McFadden has announced a solo tour around South Africa almost two weeks after Westlife confirmed their reunion.
The Dubliner was a part of the popular boy band when it started in 1998 but six years later he left.
Westlife continued on without him, but Brian also continued on without them. Brian launched his solo career in 2004 and released his debut solo single Real To Me.
He had reasonable success as a solo artist but his fame dwindled down after his controversial track, Just The Way You Are (Drunk At The Bar), was released.
Recently he wrapped up a tour with Boyzone star Keith Duffy.
They traveled around the world as part of their duo Boyzlife but now Brian wants to give his solo career another go.
Brian had confirmed a string of UK dates for his Soul Jam tour in September, before the Westlife reunion.
This week father-of-two announced on his Facebook that he is bringing the tour to South Africa.
Brian will perform new material on his tour, which fans will get to hear at the end of this month.
Speaking about his upcoming gigs, Brian said: ‘This is a project I have wanted to do for years.
‘I love old soul and I cannot wait to perform some of the great soul classics in South Africa.’
The Irish Son artist will also head to Dubai. There are no Ireland dates announced.
